Welcome to the 2026–2027 school year at GATES High School!

It is an honor to serve as principal of a school community grounded in trust, growth, and a shared commitment to making every day a great day to be a Gator. At GATES, we recognize that every student’s journey is unique. We are proud to provide a learning environment where students are met with compassion, high expectations, and a strong belief in their potential.

Learning at GATES is personalized and flexible, allowing students to move at their own pace and build meaningful skills. Our mastery-based approach ensures students have the time and support to truly learn, not just complete assignments so they leave with confidence and a clear sense of direction for life beyond high school.

Our students show resilience and growth every day. Whether they are seeking a smaller environment, re-engaging with school, working toward graduation, or exploring new goals for their future, their progress matters and is worth celebrating. This growth is supported by strong relationships with caring staff, supportive families, and a community that believes in second chances and new beginnings.

We continue to align with district priorities by focusing on equity, strong instruction, and authentic family partnerships. In practice, this means removing barriers, elevating student voice, and ensuring that every student, feels seen, valued, and supported.

Restorative practices are central to our approach. We believe relationships are the foundation of both learning and accountability. When challenges arise, we focus on reflection, repair, and growth so students can learn from mistakes and move forward with dignity.
